MIAMI, FL – March 27, 2019 – Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) and HistoryMiami Museum have partnered on a special project to preserve and record our community’s memories of favorite arts and culture moments in South Florida, in connection with PAMM’s anniversary exhibition, The Gift of Art.

This exhibition commemorates the 35th anniversary of the institution. From Center for Fine Arts (CFA) to Miami Art Museum (MAM) to Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM), this institution has been a catalyst for arts in the Magic City for over three decades.

As part of the HistoryMiami Museum’s “Miami Stories” program, the collaboration invites members of the South Florida community to share their favorite Miami arts and culture memories at a series of upcoming events. HistoryMiami Museum will be on-site during the remaining events with its Miami Stories recording booth, operated by an interviewer who will be asking a series of questions to capture personal stories of life in the Magic City.

The recordings will become a permanent part of HistoryMiami Museum's ongoing program, Miami Stories. These recordings will be archived at the museum, and may be published in the Miami Herald or broadcast on the radio through WLRN.

The next event in a series of “Miami Stories” events is set to take place at New World Symphony in Miami Beach, FL on Saturday, April 6 from 6:30–9:30pm. A complete list of event dates, locations and details follows.
