EXILE Books presents a new project at PAMM in conjunction with From the truer world of the other: Typewriter Art from PAMM's Collection—an exhibition featuring work acquired by the museum from the Sackner Archive of Concrete and Visual Poetry. EXILE Books has installed three vintage typewriters near the entrance of the exhibition and has invited local artists, writers, poets, and the general public to create "typings" inspired by the works on view. A selection of these creations will be included in a forthcoming publication by EXILE Books.
The second evening of the series features artist Sarah Maria Dos Santos, who will activate the typewriters on January 4, 2018. Other dates of activation are February 1, March 1, and April 5. Future guest artists will be announced soon!
