Calling all creative teens! Are you interested in video, film or digital media?
Join Miami native and New Orleans based artist Cristina Molina for the 2016 Summer Teen Art Intensive: Fact, Fiction, and Myth: Pseudo-documentary Video Workshop at PAMM!
During this five-day intensive video production workshop, students will choose a topic based on biography, environment or cultural history and mix it with fictional elements to create a mythical pseudo-documentary. Lighting, story-boarding, composition for video, interviewing processes, video editing and writing techniques will be covered throughout the workshop. At the end of the week, students will share their individual works with a screening at the museum.
How can I apply?
All interested parents and teens will need to fill out the application form by July 5. Once the applications are received, PAMM’s education team will review the applications and inform all applicants of acceptance status by July 8.
When is the workshop?
The workshop will take place at PAMM from Monday, July 18 to Friday, July 22. The daily schedule is 11am-4pm with a break for lunch (provided by the museum).
Who can participate in the workshop?
The workshop is open to teens from 13-18 years of age, at any level of video or art-making experience. The only requirement is a sincere interest in video and digital media.
What is the cost?
The one-week teen intensive workshop is $40 for members and $60 for non-members, and includes lunch and snacks. Scholarships are available.
