Blog: Guests celebrate the opening of Spots, Dots, Pips, Tiles: An Exhibition About Dominoes

On June 29, 2017, guests celebrated the opening of PAMM’s newest exhibition, Spots, Dots, Pips, Tiles: An Exhibition About Dominoes. The evening began with a reception on the terrace, with drinks and a live set by PAMM’s resident DJ, Phaxas. Afterwards, guests were led to the galleries where co-curators María Elena Ortiz and Arden Sherman led a conversation with artists Glendalys Medina and Rodolfo Peraza about the show.

The exhibition features over 19 international contemporary artists working in a variety of media, including painting, mixed-media, sculpture, installation, and video. Collectively, these artists approach the game of dominoes—its history, community, strategy, and aesthetics—as metaphor and practice.
